The Gates of Change
Birth - Creativity - Death
Hi, thanks for stopping by! I'm Jessica, an acupuncturist/quantum birth worker/yoga teacher/astrologer who's long used artistic expression, therapeutic movement, plant medicines, and ancient traditions to stumble and dance my way through life.
I work most often with womxn/non-binary/queer folks to unravel from the challenges of living through times of such great change.
From yoga classes and 1:1 sessions to the birthing room and the clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I've been creating therapeutic spaces for the last 13+ years. I love integrating what I've learned to facilitate transformative and healing experiences for people.
I offer nourishing practices that support people in expanding their capacity for pleasure, presence, and playfulness.
When we listen to our body and are able to move places of stagnation or nourish deficiencies, our most authentic self can flourish.
My offerings are informed by my backgrounds in:
- Holistic Midwifery
- Traditional Chinese Medicine
- 1:1 Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy
- Performance art
I believe that everyone holds unique keys to creating diverse and dynamic communities and am committed to showing up to this collective process.
I hope to continue learning to be a good ancestor and guest as I live, love, work, and play here. on unceded Lekwungen territory, today known as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
Gatekeeper Wellness is committed to making ongoing contributions to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre.
"You know I think so many of us live outside our bodies. My dream is that people will find a way back home, into their bodies, to connect with the earth, to connect with each other, to connect with the poor, to connect with the broken, to connect with the needy, to connect with people calling out all around us, to connect with the beauty, poetry, the wildness."
